Our next vendor AND coupon time!

Our next vendor comes to us from Upper Darby. Chelsea from Intriguedbeing has some neat designs and were excited to see her at Artmore this year.

"I have always been a creative person... In school I was that student that would have my notebook covered in drawings instead of history notes, always had markers, tape and ribbons but never pencils or pens. ... For whatever reason making and creating makes sense to me the most so that's just what I do

Much to my parents chagrin I continued along the creative path and studied dance in college all while making all sorts of things.  Now that I am graduated, I still dance some but I spend most of my days at a sewing machine!"

She has a little something for everyone... the kids, the men, the geeks, the home, the teen, the woman, and anyone else you can think of

You can find her facebook here:

and her  blog

and her twitter

and one last exciting thing! Bring in this coupon, ( or show it on your smart phone and receive %20 off anything from her store that day at Artmore!

Happy Friday! Meet our next Vendor

Good Morning all,
We are 2 weeks and 1 day out from the fair and Id like to introduce our next vendor!!

Maggie Best.

My name is Maggie and I am trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. One thing I know for sure, however, is that I like to make things. All kinds of things. Like dolls and earrings and pretty things for your hair and postcards. I find inspiration for my creating (and living, in general) from my travels-- and the people I meet and the things I eat and places I see along the way. Here in my little corner of the universe, I'm just trying to make beautiful, heirloom-quality things. If they bring me satisfaction and someone else a little happiness, I've done a good job. I hope that by doing this and partnering with others, we can all spend and use a little less, and enjoy what we have a little more.

What Maggie brings to Artmore will be a surprise for now however I have seen her work, and I assure you anything she brings will be fantastic!

Artmore goes gourmet!

Our next featured vendor is Mr. Anthony Grimaldi.  This CIA grad, and world traveler finally settled down on the main line after cooking all over New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and even Europe. After living and cooking in Oslo, Norway, Radnor was quite a change but he quickly found a home at 333 Belrose Bar and Grill. I am pleased to announce that he will be one of our vendors at Artmore this year! Check out some of his food here!

Be sure to come hungry!!!

Artmore's part in Hurricane Sandy Relief

Our thoughts and our prayers go out to those who were effected by Hurricane Sandy. Many lost power, homes, cars, and even family but they will not lose hope. America has come to their assistance. There are thousands of relief teams offering water, food,  heat, shelter, transportation and much more but what about emotional support? The victims of Hurricane Sandy need to laugh and play! Please help us bring some joy and dancing to New York and New Jersey this summer!

Indigenous Pitch is a non for profit I have had the pleasure of working closely with for years now.  The people involved in IP, the founders, team member, board members, all of them  have truly touched my life and inspired me to  hope that I can be half as generous as they are. When natural disasters happen it is honestly devastating and of course the people living in these areas need food, water, shelter etc. however Indigenous Pitch does hurricane relief a little differently. They go to the areas of the disaster and offer a chance for the children of the community to attend a week long free dance camp. During these camps the children spend all day with Indigenous Pitch team members. They are fed, they learn how to dance, they do projects,  they have "free dance" sessions where they learn how to express them selves.

Check out some of the pictures of past years.

Don't these children just melt your heart?

This summer, the plans are in motion to send Indigenous Pitch to the Jersey Shore and to New York to do the same for the children who were effected by Sandy. But we can't do it without your help! Artmore is going to be a huge player in sending them! So far we have almost $1000 raised before the fair even comes please please please do anything you can to bring people to Artmore! There are going to be door prizes, children's activities, and much more to raise money as well as some vendors have already agreed to give a percentage of their sales that day to IP.

If you feel any desire to get involved in any way that you can please contact me personally by emailing intriguedbeing@gmail.com

We greatly appreciate anything you can do and we look forward to seeing you on November 24th at 10 East Athens Ave. Ardmore PA

Say Hello to our next featured vendor!

Amber Zaraza is the designer of phea jean, a clothing and accessories company based in Philadelphia.
Each phea jean item is handmade by incorporating vintage fabrics and notions along with upcycled materials, all meticulously sewn and assembled to create one of a kind items.
"I began sewing at the age of 12, when my grandmother (phea) would take me to the thrift store and I would pick up polyester pantsuits and turn them into purses. I never had actual yards of fabric, I would just see a print I liked and cut up whatever it was and sew it into something else, essentially upcycling. I did a lot of hand sewing in that time but was able to hone in on my machine skills in high school and eventually enrolled in college for fashion design.  It was during college that I started sewing handbags- first for myself, then friends, and soon strangers were noticing my handbags and asking where they could be purchased. This led me to start phea jean (named for my two grandmothers) in 2005. My love for vintage has never subsided and I hunt thrift stores, garage sales, and attics to find interesting fabrics and prints. What started as a custom handbag company, phea jean has now expanded to include many other accessories such as hats, wallets, scarves, hair accessories, and even clothing! "
phea jean will have a wide variety of accessories on hand along with winter capes and ponchos for women and children!

Our next vendor comes from Wayne PA, she has a wide variety of things on her shop and we are super excited to have her here at artmore this year!
"What's better than wearing a rhinestone brooch and having everyone give you compliments, or enjoying an adorable lady head vase on your bureau every day?  Give a party and set your table with a retro tablecloth and vintage salt & pepper shakers or antique cups and saucers!  These are some of the reasons I love to buy and sell vintage everything, especially jewelry.  It gives you something that has so much character and beauty, but is fun and different from the modern jewelry of today.  These are pieces of vintage history, from the designer to the materials.  I've branched out into other categories because there are so many fun and funky accessories and home decor items out there!  I try to offer something for everyone at a great prices.
I am also a painter and interior designer; my interior design firm is Segal & Wilmot Design Consultants.  You can see some of my designs at Houzz.com.  Please email me with any questions about my shop on Etsy or design services at csegal6@comcast.net.  Thanks and have fun shopping!"

The Artmore Gift Fair

81 days until the first Artmore Gift Fair! We are really excited to be hosting Artmore this year and we hope you all will get excited too.

So what is Artmore?! Artmore is a gift fair that is hosted around the holidays giving the community an opportunity to come and enjoy some shopping for their family and friends.

Why Artmore?!  Artmore will be a collaboration of local crafters and vendors making handmade gifts and food. It is a great opportunity to earn money, network with other crafters in the area, and share your hard work with the community.

When and Where?! Artmore will be held on November 24th. The set up for crafters will be open at 8:30am to be completed by 10am. The set up for food/kitchen related items will open at 10am to be finished by 10:30.  Artmore will be located at 10 East Athens Avenue, Ardmore, PA, 19003

How Much?! The vendor fee is $25 which will be paid via Pay Pal or personal check. Payment will not be due until your acceptance at Artmore.  All money collected from the vendor fee will be donated to Indigenous Pitch.

Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective, Inc. is a collective of ethnically diverse Philadelphia- based dance companies whose goal is to create and perform works of artistic excellence that reflect and highlight the diversity of our city and its native, homegrown dance styles. We support emerging choreographers by providing rehearsal space, critical feedback and performance opportunities in which to explore and develop their artistic styles. Through the art of dance, visual and literary arts, music and theatre,  we assist, educate and nurture children affected by natural and/or socio-economic disasters. We fulfill this mission with performances, residencies and workshops throughout the United States and abroad.

How do I get involved?! Great question! You can start by submitting an application. Send us an email request for an application and we'll respond to you as soon as we can! artmorefair@gmail.com.

Looking forward to hearing back from you guys!
